I’ve just read the reviews for this number, as I too received a call from this number.

I also spoke to a male with difficult to understand accent.

The guy claimed to be from PayPal Fraud and there were suspicious amounts on my PayPal account. Like some others here, the amount he mentioned was $349.99.

I don’t have bitcoin or PayPal either.

I got a call from this number. Guy had thick indian accent and was a lot of background noise. He claimed to be what I think to be Daniel and said he was from Fraud Department at PayPal.

Said there were several charges of $349.99 for bitcoin on my PayPal account.

Found this rather odd as I’ve never done anything to do with Bitcoin, nor have I ever had a PayPal account. Said there was a text message he had sent to me with a code and a link. Apparently I had to read him the code and then click on the link - all had to be done whilst on the phone with him.

Told him to leave me alone as I don’t have either PayPal or Bitcoin.

Hung up and blocked.

I just got a call from an Indian call centre claiming to be from PayPal security team about some suspicious charges for bitcoin. He said there were 2 separate charges of $349-99 and he has to ask if they want me to process it or delete it. I said that there was no need as there are no bitcoins charges. He told me he had sent me a text message and I needed to click on a link to delete these bitcoin charges.

I told him I don’t have PayPal, and I don’t think he liked hearing that as he starting to get rather loud and shouted at me.

He said that he needed his manager to speak to me, so I just hung up and blocked number.

Male indian caller “Daniel from PayPal” claiming to be from the fraud department.

Really busy call centre noise in background.

“Daniel” claimed to have just picked up a possible fraud charge of $349.99 on my PayPal account for Bitcoins and asked if I wished to proceed with this charge or have him cancel it.

Told him I don’t have PayPal to which he replied “I think you do” and asked for me to read out the reference number on an email they had sent me. Told him I couldn’t access my email. He asked for my email address to which I replied If they had sent me an email, he would have the email address on file. He said “no ma’am, no, I don’t send out the emails. Now you need to read out the reference number I’ve have just sent you in a test message”

I have then hung up and blocked.

This is the 3rd time (from different numbers) I’ve received calls today in the last hour! For alleged PayPal fraud on my non existent PayPal account!

PLUS every caller has stated the same value of the charge at $349.99 - all for Bitcoin.

BLOCK! BLOCK! BLOCK!
