This number claims to be Westpac and then proceeds to tell you a transaction of 569.00 has been made to M. Jane and if you do not recognize it then you need to call the number. I called westpac and asked them and they said no such payment or transaction has taken place. I called the number then and they even have the westpac recording with automated menu etc. After speaking to the man I informed them I had already called the bank... Then he hung up. Its a scam.

Received an SMS purporting to be from Westpac about a payment that they're investigating, but we've not had an account with them for ~8 years. SMS asked us to call this number.
