This is a scam call from PayPal. They will tell you your account has been hacked from California and you will be asked to download Anydesk and confirm your identity by photographing your license. They will tell you to hurry as hackers have your PayPal account already. They will then ask you to download Bitcoin, Binance and Western Union and request you transfer sums from your bank account into accounts they will open under your name. Very scary!! Do not return this phone call, you will lose thousands.
I had the same thing happen. They left a robocall message saying they were calling from PayPal about a $299 order. I am a former ahm/mefiback customer so they may have got my number that way.
Scam, pretending to be regarding a PayPal order for $299 & asking to resolve otherwise it would be cancelled - they left voicemail.
This phone number is associated with the same scam that has previously contacted me using the number (02) 7254 3856.
A caller, claiming to be from PayPal, contacted me about a $299 charge that required my confirmation or cancellation. However, I haven’t made any purchases through PayPal in years and don’t have a current card linked to my account, making this call seem very dubious.
