I avoid answering calls from numbers that I do not recognize to protect myself from potential scams.
The caller claimed to be from eBay, stating that my account had been hacked, which seemed suspicious.

Called and said she was from Amazon Prime and I would have $39.99 taken out of my account each month for subscription. I said that's great (knowing I didn't have a subscription). She then asked if I wanted to cancel the subscription. I agreed. She said I needed to be in front of an internet connected device, and wanted to know if I was. I said I could take the notes of how to cancel down and do it later but I was told I needed to do it with her. She wanted to know what sort of device I was using. I told her a different sort of computer. She wanted to know if I could find the Control key and I told her I could. She wanted to know the key beside it, I told her it was a different key than what was there, I also told her the R key was next to it. She asked me if I was really in front of my computer, but I said the computer has nothing to do with the keyboard I'm using. I asked what it was I need to do, and she said I was going to need to press some keys to enable her to guide me through it on their server. I said 'aaaah, so you want access to my computer'. She hung up. Riiiggggtttt.
This caller was clearly a scam. I strongly advise against engaging with them. Refrain from saying 'yes' during the conversation, and do not call them back. Simply ask them to remove you from their list and hang up immediately.
A female caller contacted me, claiming she was addressing internet issues. When I informed her that my internet speed was perfectly fine, she made a bizarre remark about how I wouldn’t understand fast internet as a "commoner." Called Claiming to be Telstra technical support. They reckon my line was corrupted but when I asked him what my name was and who they are and they gave me the wrong information. It’s a scam.

I told him I didn’t have any problems, but he insisted that I did. I decided to humor him by listening further, but he hung up shortly after, which I found amusing! 😂
