The phone number 02 7251 9500 / 0272519500 has raised numerous red flags among users across Australia. Commonly associated with scams, it appears to be a number frequently used by cybercriminals pretending to represent well-known organisations like Amazon, Telstra, and the National Broadband Network (NBN).

Based on user reports, the calls from this number display a series of alarming tactics designed to confuse and pressurise unsuspecting individuals. The categorisation of this number as “suspicious” is supported by the following insights drawn from multiple reviews:

  • Identity Theft Tactics: Many users have claimed to receive calls stating that their broadband is compromised or in trouble, which is a common tactic among scammers aiming to extract personal information.
  • False Claims: Reviewers reported claims from the caller indicating they were with reputable companies, including Amazon and the NBN, which sought to deceive individuals into engaging with fraudulent action.
  • Recorded Messages: Some calls were actually automated messages threatening unauthorised transactions on bank accounts, further hinting at scams aimed at financial theft.
  • International Call Links: A user also flagged the suspicious nature of associated calls from foreign locations, indicating a wider network of scammers operating under the guise of legitimate services.
  • Spoofed Information: There’s a strong suggestion that this number may be spoofed, as many users noted an unrecognised call with no message left after answering.

When dealing with a call from 02 7251 9500 / 0272519500, it is highly recommended that recipients do not engage with the caller, hang up immediately, and block the number to avoid further disturbances.
