Female Indian accent nuisance caller at dinner time.

Female claimed I was eligible for a reward as a “good customer” regarding my electricity bills.

She then said “oh you live at ________ “

I said no, I lived there previously (I didn’t say when, but I moved from that property just under a year ago)

She then asked me what my new address was.

I said there’s no way I’m giving you that information. You said you were calling me as I was a good customer, so if you are legit, you would certainly know where I lived.

I hung up then blocked.

As an aside, you the electricity bills in our house are solely in my wife’s name.

Telemarketer / scammer???

This woman with Indian accent told me that my electricity payments were paid promptly and I was to be rewarded.

Told me I was eligible for _________ (not sure what I was eligible for as I couldn’t understand her)

I found this amusing as she quoted a name and full address, however that is my grandmother’s address (where I did live for a few years) however, my grandmother sold her property at the end of last year.

Also, I’ve only just turned 18 so I don’t know how I’ve been such a good bill payer???

I also got a call from a male Indian accent guy.

Like the others here, he quoted an address that apparently my bills are in which I also left the address 12 months ago.

I wonder if they have gotten our details from marketing lists that real estate agents use.

Just another annoying call that has been added to my blocked list.

Got a call from an Indian female who was extremely difficult to understand. She addressed to me by name and introduced herself as I could not work out her name and the company that she was calling from. I asked her twice and still could not understand what she said.

The female claim to be calling on behalf of an electricity company still I did not understand the name. She told me that I was an extremely good customer who paid my bills on time and I was going to be rewarded for this.

She then said you’d live at __________

I said I do not live there (we sold that property 11 months ago - however did not entertain her by telling her that)

She then became aggressive and said you must give me your new address details so I can update my system.

I said no I am not giving you my address to which she replied but I will give you good deal and cash back from the government.

I said I thought you were working for an electricity company, not the government to which she replied. I work for both.

She again tried to get my new address and by this point I had enough and did not wish to entertain her any further.

I advised that she had been given my details fraudulently as I have never held an electricity nor Energy account in my name.

She said, but I have a copy of your latest bill here. It was at this point where I’d clearly had enough hung up on her and blocked the number.

Annoying indian telemarketer / scammer.

When I answered, I got an Indian woman who was extremely difficult to understand.

She addressed me by my name and then identified herself as calling on behalf of an electricity company, however, did not reveal the name of said electricity company.

This difficult to understand woman said that because I was an “a good customer who pays their bills on time I was going to be rewarded”

I said Are you serious (I said this because I am not the account holder) to which she responded “yes, you will be rewarded big time”

She then said I see you are living at:

X B+&$&@!|¥ Road %#|>€*! NSW.21&$

I have not lived at this address for 12 months and told her so.

She said well you MUST give me your new address details so I can put it into my system.

I spoke over her and said I am not the account holder in the 54 years that I have been living on this earth. I have never had an electricity bill or account in my name.

She then said I need your new address. I told her no and hung up and have blocked the number.
