I received a call from the number (02) 7234 8394, which I identified as a solar scam. I have blocked this number.
A Proper Scammer.
The caller said he's calling from Green Energy Solution, and that they provide solar panels and batteries nationwide.
The caller called my mobile and addressed me by name when I picked up (I purposely never say hello first from unknown numbers).
He wanted my email address to "send pricing information" to me.
When I insisted my partner was already purchasing one, he said he wanted his number to discuss prices, I said No, and advised that he works unpredictable hours and doesn't like getting personal calls all the time and wanted him to give me their website so we can check it out when we have the time (I didn't tell him I didn't get any results with the Business name he gave me, he got very pushy and insisted for his email address or to call me back later to talk to my partner, which I firmly said that was not necessary if we had a website to check out and email HIM back, he continued to say we'll never get a good deal if I'm like this (not true, it's always recommended not to give out those personal details to anyone over the phone or email). And I said we would have to go without and to remove us from their call list, to which he hung up.
It probably shouldn't matter but he had an ascent.
Indian telemarketer calling about solar panels. Said I wasn’t interested, caller started talking over me. I hung up. Before I got to block the number, I received another call. The male yelled into the phone “why did you hang up on me?” Hung up again and was able to block number.
Saturday telemarketing call. Rather abrasive, indian accent, female, calling about installing solar panels. Told her already have them, she then got rather loud and argumentative and said I *must* upgrade them now.
I had a missed call from this number at approximately 1240 PM this afternoon (Saturday)
I called back a few hours later and was an automated message (female, Aussie accent, very monotone)
Message said along the lines of “thank you for calling us back, we called in regards to solar panels, whether you have them, or would like to know more about them …:”
It was here that I hung up and blocked number.
