The guy explained he was from microsoft tech department and I should get in touch 'tomorrow' and he'll get a technician to 'fix' the computer. He also, quite cleverly (note change of tactic; friendly, understanding, patient, not asking for personal details), explained that no money would be requested, but that the computer had been hacked and needed to be fixed remotely.
