Thank you for your detailed info.

I received the same call just now and people with the same claim. She was very eager to identify me and I told her since I cannot identify who she is, I cannot identify myself for her.

So she hung up. Then I started googling and fund these posts here.

She had a fake american accent, not sure if that can be a telltale sign for others reading this.

Cheers,

Just a heads up—this number could be a spoofing attempt. I researched it and found it is supposedly linked to an Australian Border Force office. They called me multiple times in quick succession after I didn't answer the first call, which doesn't seem like typical behavior for an official authority.

I did not pick up the call, but I suspect it may be from a scammer based on the number and context.

Scam caller saying that I've sent packages --- same.

Called posing as Australian Border Force, when you Google the number, a search result linked to Australian Border Force does come up. But scammers use this number as a facade, it is not really coming from this number.

Called saying I sent packages of Meth from China, I hung up on them and blocked them before they could ask more questions.

Do not fall for their trick, they will ask you to Google their number to add credibility to the call.

When on the ABF website, that number is not listed anywhere, so not sure why the Google Search result comes up like that.

The caller pretended to be a law enforcement officer and became aggressive when I suggested they might be a scam. I hung up, but before I could block the number, they called back and threatened to report me to the police for "disrespecting an officer of the law."
