I received a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be from immigration. They knew my name, which raised my suspicions, and I believe this number is a scam. I advise caution to others receiving calls from this number.
I received a call today from a woman named Ann Smith, who had a thick Filipino accent. She became frustrated when I asked her to repeat her name, suggesting that she might have been finding it difficult to continue her scamming efforts with me.
The caller introduced himself as a representative of the Australian government and mentioned that there was an important document for me to sign. He even had my name, which was alarming.
Received few missed calls from 0262480479 and 02 72384052,7238 4043,4058, answered once, a lady said calling from immigration department, and my number was complained for something... Want to confirm my name and ID check, hang up immediately.
The same phone number called me twice; the volume of scam calls is increasing drastically.
Scam.
I received a call from scammers impersonating officials from Home Affairs. They accused me of sending texts that impersonate Home Affairs, which is quite ironic since they are the real impersonators!
I have received five calls from this number. I chose not to answer and hung up each time, but they continue to call without ever leaving a voicemail.
I received a call from the same number claiming to be from "Immigration." The caller had an Indian accent and asserted that my phone number was associated with sending scam text messages. She pressured me to explain why that might be the case.
The caller claimed to be from the immigration office and mentioned my name. I find it suspicious because I doubt that the immigration office would contact me like this. It’s possible my information has been sold to a fraudulent company.

I have received a total of 11 missed calls from this number, and it continues to call me incessantly. According to Google, it’s a fax number that doesn’t leave any messages. It's incredibly frustrating, especially since these calls interrupt my meetings.
The same number called me, claiming to be from ACT Immigration and stating that there have been numerous complaints regarding their visa services. This seems very dubious.
This call I had was so funny. They called me from the Canberra number, it was a lady claiming to be from the Immigration Department. With a filipino accent and she wanted to know why a specific phone number was registered under my name in the region of Guang Zhou, China. She said that I had sent details of visas and other information, as well as making fraud text messages. There were apparently numerous complaints of the phone number I registered (not my mobile actual, mind you) because of the above issues and wanted me to explain myself.
The phone number actually called me 3x times, I decided to answer on the 3rd time since normally scam phone numbers aren't this persistent. I laughed when she said that the number was registered in Guang Zhou, and I told her that I was Malaysian and had not been to China (let along Guang Zhou at all) in 10 years. Thinking about it, it's actually been more than 10 years since I've been! She was surprised when she found out I wasn't 'a Chinese' and continued to press on why my number had received complaints about fraudulent texts. She even said my passport details were on file, and I asked what my passport number was and she said 'she couldn't hand it out for privacy purposes'.
I work at a call centre and the classic tell tale sign of a call is that they never ask you for your proper ID and instill fear and confusion in you. I also have a feeling that they've somehow gathered information of people's mobile numbers, and specifically targeted those with Chinese (adjacent) last names. Anyway, I told her it was clear that she didn't get paid enough to do her job and to have a good day, and hung up on her then blocked the phone number. Good use of both of our time!
