A similar story to others.3 messages in the past two weeks. It is clearly a recorded message as all 3 messages are exactly the same. It is clear that it is a spam as she does not say who the call is for, and obviously ATO will not leave such a message.
Same story as others have experienced. Messsage from woman with accent from the subcontinent left of my answering machine, purporting to be calling in regard of a court suit and tax fraud.
I hope nobody falls for these suckers.

LOL, the idiot made threats about police being at my house in 45 mins and I called from a different number, never gave my name or address.
Hurry up and block / disconnect this number.

About 6 messages over 2 weeks left on my elderly mother's home landline purporting to be from Tax office regarding fraud. Male voice, Indian / Pakistani accent. Will be reporting this to police.
I missed picking up this call so they left a voicemail message. Woman claimed I had a tax fraud, was being investigated, and that I should call back immediately. In my haze of just hearing some very bad news before this call (a family member had just passed), I assumed this was real and started to panic. I then quickly calmed down as: A) At no point did she mention who the call was from, B) did not mention who the call was for, C) I've dealt with different government departments in the past and they would never leave such an amateurish message like this, nor with such flaky information, and D) I've never cheated on my taxes in my 30 year working life so far! And neither had any other member of my household!
I then tried calling back the number left, but of course it was a "disconnected" number, as is with all these awful scams. They obviously left the unconnected number so that you would answer the phone next time they call as you'd be in panic as I was. And I do hope they call because they're going to hear expletives from me that will burn their ears off. How DARE they do this. I will most definitely be making a formal complaint about this one.
Received call purpoting to be from ATO. Caller was woman of sub-continent nationality threatening legal action. TREAT WITH EXTREME CARE AND IGNORE.
Another scammer. Left a message. Purports to be the ATO re a Tax Fraud. Threatening in nature as it says NOT to ignore it as time is of the essence. Dogmatic, Asian female voice.
