I got a call from this number today. The person said he is calling from immigration office and wanted to confirm my residential address here in australia as well in my home town. He had my full name, my date of birth and email address. He said he would send a confirmation email. Didn't receive it yet...

I got suspicious after answering 2 questions and asked them to send me an email. He said an email would be sent after the call. I refused to give any details until he sent me an email confirming he is from the right department. After a minute's silence, he hung the call.
!!! BEWARE OF THE SCAM!!! This number is a spam for sure. The caller claims he / she works in the DIBP and wants to update some 'declaration' with my personal details. WTF!!! I initially missed the call and called them back to hear this!! There was also lots of background noise in the other side.
This is a scam call, I received the call twice from this number pretending to be from Immigration office, but I asked them some questions which is related to only me and they hung up the call.

The person introduced himself from the immigration department and they ask to issue 'Declaration Card' which will be helpful in future for filing citizenship and sponsor family members. They can't confirm some of the details correctly. The person said they will send an officer at your place and will give a card there which will cost you some amount. That amount will be refunded by immigration department later on. When I asked their address he just hanged my call and didn't respond.

They are so professional, it's hard to guess they are not from Immigration. But when the Lady asked me to fill a Western Union money form then I was shocked and called scam department and found that its a fraud call.
