I got a call today from this idiot Steve Marshall & asked us to pay $4000 or otherwise cops will come & arrest & there is a warrant issued against our names & property will be under litigation blah blah blah...
I called my accountant & he started laughing as well as called ATO & have lodged a formal complaint from the number he has called.....
It is a SCAM.
I got call from some bastrad call Steve Marshall and asking for $6800, this is last day and if you won't pay they'll take you to court and freeze all your bank accounts, property and other personal belongings. They were 2 people I talked to them and they were very fast in speaking and never ever wanted to listen to you. They give some four kind of crime code which you never did and asked me to pay amount immediately. They were western and Asian accent. Also they always waste your time. I would say ATO must do something to catch those people, after all we work our axx off to pay the tax and make our country better. This is been going since long time and everyone knows that, than why government, tax office and police not doing anything??? If we people do something wrong than we will be in fault, so we urge police, tax office and government to pay attention and catch this bloody money thief.
Got a call from this number minutes ago and sure it was a prank call. Tried to scare me by saying that ATO has lodged a case against me that is going to court tomorrow morning and police would arrest me bla bla bla...
Guys don't disclose your personal info and don't pay any money. Its just a scare tactic to get some money out of you.

Steve Marshal with an Asian accent talking like he is some James Bond or something. Told me pay $5000 over the phone or our properties will be sold and I will be sent to Jail. LOL. He was a joker I must say. They should learn also how ATO talks before making fool out of anyone.

Looks like it's a scam to get money from people by scaring them. I pay taxes every year and got a call from this number today asking for more money otherwise they will sell my house, cars and other assets. I called them back on the same number and the guy was not sounding very professional.
