What Our Users Reviewed
I received an email stating that this number was the helpdesk for PayPal, claiming I had an unauthorized payment to a bitcoin company. I believe this is a scam, as I have no connection to this content.
I received a scam call threatening me with arrest from the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).
This is a scam. They’ll tell you that its urgency related to tax and that you’ll be arrested. Thats bullshit bruh lol.
I had this number calling me looking for a Nick Davies last year on two occasions talking tax avoidance & arrest etc. I am not Nick Davies. They called my mob ph today with a recorded message threatening the same thing. I recorded the whole message & reported them to telstra. I tried calling them as the message said it was a time sensitive issue but it just kept ringing out. So I called again & again to see just how “ time sensitive” it is. Finally someone said hello & I asked them who they are & who they think they are calling & I got no reply so I told them they were a scammer & told them where to go. Then I kept calling them to give them a taste of their own medicine but it kept being cut off. So this number is a harassing scam. I suggest recording their message & call them back playing the same message they send you & drive them nuts. Give em as much as they get & shut them up.
I've got the same missed call / recorded message.
I'm not in a position where I would be contacted as such and thus it is extremely likely to be a scam.
I'm lodging a scam notice to ATO as well.
I just got call from them now - They say they the ATO and have put a hold on my claim and a letter is being sent to my address which could lead to arrest etc.
They advised I return the call and contact 02 6172 0662.
Sounds fishy and won't be calling back.
The bull$h!t automated Tax avoidance call that actually does leave a message on your message bank if you hang up on it before answer. Don't call them back unless you want to play because I guarantee you you'll end up with a dozen phone calls a day.
