Got a recorded message saying that it is was the Australian Tax Office calling me. This is a scam phone number. When I rang back the number (curious to see who would answer), I got a busy signal.

Claims to be the Australian Taxation Office - last time I called the ATO, they didn't pick up straight away and I was on hold for a while. Sounds dodgy to me.
I received a missed call from this number and after several attempts of a busy number I finally got through, they said the name of the company but I couldn't understand, I asked who they were as I had received a missed call and they promptly hung up on me. I only called back as it came up as a Canberra number where I would expect to receive calls from.
I missed a call from this number 02 6172 0324 just now, and called them back shortly. It appears to me that that was a scam call. The guy who answered my call said they were from ATO (Australian Taxation Office). I realised that was a scam call because they asked my name and other details and generally ATO only communicate with people only with webmail.

I have reported this scam to the ATO - but be wary.
