"You missed a call from 0261528693, who said "Lynn(?) Taxation Office. My name is Officer Mark Brown. I am calling in reference to a legal case data(?) file against you. It's of,"this message was provided by Telstra at no charge to you".
The call was definitely from Oversea as there was router noise before call connection. As we are attached to Telstra through my IT business, we have reported the number to a higher means.

I got a message from Office of Peter William or Williams ATO, saying that there could be a warrent for my arrest for either not submitting a Tax return or committing a fraudulent act. The phone number was 02 6152 8650.
I just got the same message. Peter Williams from the Australian Tax Office demanding a call back on above number or a warrant would be issued for my arrest. He has a British sounding accent. Must be a random thing sent to multiple phone numbers.

I also received a call from Peter Williams saying all sorts of trouble would come crashing down on my head. This worried.

What is he trying achieve, apart putting the wind up people.
Why can't the police get involved with Telstra/ Optus etc and find out who this landline account is being billed to.
As I find it hard for someone not to do anything about these scams.
If I want to open up an account I need my 100 points so what is so hard for the police to check this out.

This is a scam. My 91 year old mother (today is her birthday) received an automated call this afternoon stating that her husband had committed fraud against the ATO.

As accountants we have recieved a few phone calls today from our clients, they have stated they received calls from this number, the person claimed they were Frank Anderson from the ATO & gave the same rude speel as the above have mentioned. What Scum!!! The ATO will never contact you this way, please go to the police with all information you have & hopefully we can track these people down. For future reference to any who read this the ATO will never contact you this way without written warning & if you ever you do receive a call you can ask them for #1 a reference number for the call, #2 an extension number for the ATO employee you are speaking too & #3 The number for the ATO is 13 28 69- ALWAYS CALL THIS NUMBER NOT THE ONE THEY GIVE YOU!!!!
Got the same message on my answering machine [ MORONS]house under surveillance he was with the AFP IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE TAXATION OFFICE BLA BLA.
Have received a call from this number, from someone saying they were Peter Williams, saying my house was under surveillance & I had committed fraud against the ATO office. I needed to pay money or I would be contacted by the Sheriffs Office within 45mins & then arrested within 2hrs. But I could pay my money owing, which was 5.600 & all would be ok.. We have notified the Police.
It is a scam, just had it looked into.

Received a call on 7 April 2015 at c.9.40am purporting to be from the AFP acting for the ATO telling me that my home was under surveillande and to phone the above number if I need assistance.
