Silent Call and Nuisance Reports for 02 6064 2216

Eight contributors have reported calls from 02 6064 2216 (also written as 0260642216), primarily describing silent calls, hang-ups, and missed messages. The most distinctive pattern is silent calls where the caller connects then immediately disconnects without speaking - one contributor answered the call to find the line dead before they could say much. Another contributor explicitly noted receiving a silent call followed by an immediate hang-up. The majority of reports describe missed calls with no voicemail left, with several contributors flagging the number as spam on their phones.

One detailed report from 0260642216 suggests the calls originate from spoofed VoIP numbers masking call centre operations in India, using "spare" numbers to cycle through calling campaigns. This contributor observed similar patterns across other numbers starting with 02 6064 22**, indicating a likely coordinated calling network rather than isolated activity.

What Callers from 02 6064 2216 Do

The behaviour pattern from 02 6064 2216 is notably evasive. When connections occur, callers either hang up immediately or disconnect before the recipient can engage. One contributor who attempted to return the call found the number immediately failed to connect, suggesting the number may be disconnected or spoofed. No contributor reported receiving any sales pitch, threat, or claim - the calls are entirely silent or aborted.

A contributor monitoring their call patterns noted receiving clusters of similar calls over 2-3 day periods, with multiple numbers from the 02 area code arriving in succession. The 02 6064 2216 number appeared as one call in such a cluster, along with other suspicious NSW numbers, suggesting coordinated campaign activity rather than random nuisance calling.

Report Patterns and Timing

Reports for 0260642216 span from late May 2025 through mid-January 2026, indicating sustained activity over an extended period. The reports are distributed across both missed calls and answered calls, suggesting the caller makes repeated attempts. One contributor noted calls arriving at similar times of day, which aligns with typical call centre operating patterns. Another received the 02 6064 2216 call as part of a cluster - three separate calls from different 02 numbers within the same day, with only one flagged as suspicious by their phone system.

The channel breakdown shows 5 missed calls with no voicemail, 2 answered calls resulting in hang-ups, and 1 other report. This pattern suggests a robocalling or predictive dialling system cycling through numbers with minimal connection handling.

Flagged by phone as a known spam number. Other sites have also posted negative reviews of this number. They usually call at a similar time of day to this, from random unknown interstate landline numbers (though in reality they are spoofed numbers using VoIP calling from call centres in India) from "spare" numbers.

I also saw similar reviews for other numbers beginner with 02 6064 22**

This number called me after 2 others I missed that day, from the same area code "02".

I've just tried calling back and the call immediate failed.

Very confident this is yet another scam number. The 2 numbers that called me prior to this number today were 02 9098 2072 and 02 7234 1797. The number ending 1797 came up on my phone as a Suspicious call.

I find I get these calls in a bunch over 2 or 3 days.1 usually shows up as suspicious and the others don't so I've decided to actively log them here moving forward - bloody scammers!

One contributor received a call from 02 6064 2216 where the caller dropped the line before any conversation could occur. This silent hang-up pattern is typical of spoofed or robocalling systems testing whether a number is active. The number appears to be a spoofed VoIP call centre operation, which explains the evasive behaviour when connections are made.

Is 0260642216 a real phone number?

0260642216 is allocated as a local service in NSW through Symbio Networks Pty Ltd, but one contributor confirmed that attempting to call the number back resulted in immediate call failure, suggesting the number is either spoofed or deliberately disconnected to prevent return contact. This is a common tactic in silent call campaigns.

Why am I receiving multiple calls from 02 area code numbers in quick succession?

One contributor reported receiving calls from 02 6064 2216 alongside other 02 numbers (02 9098 2072 and 02 7234 1797) within the same day. This clustering pattern suggests a coordinated calling campaign where call centres cycle through multiple spoofed numbers to maximise contact attempts while minimising individual number flagging.

What should I do if I keep getting calls from 02 6064 2216?

Block 02 6064 2216 immediately on your phone and mark it as spam. Do not attempt to return the call or engage if you accidentally answer. A contributor who tried calling back 0260642216 found the connection failed instantly. Report the number to ACMA at acma.gov.au and Scamwatch at scamwatch.gov.au, especially if you receive clustered calls from multiple 02 numbers.

Are the calls from 02 6064 2216 coming from India as suggested in one report?

One detailed contributor report noted that 0260642216 likely originates from call centre operations in India using spoofed VoIP numbers to mask their true location and bypass blocking. The same contributor identified similar patterns across other numbers starting with 02 6064 22**, suggesting a coordinated network of spoofed campaigns.

What's the difference between this number and other 02 6064 numbers I've seen reported?

If you've noticed other numbers in this range, they're likely part of the same organised calling operation. Report each number separately to ACMA at acma.gov.au to help authorities identify the broader network.
