Scam caller claiming to be commonweath bank - follow on from 30 minute earlier call from 0272538341 also claimimg to be commonwealth bank security.
Call came through on this number (based in Adelong NSW lol) from a woman named Jenny who said she was from Telstra and that overseas people were trying to misuse my information. Only answered because it was from a regional number. Hung up quickly. Sounded like an overseas call centre - there was a lot of noise in the background.
I've had 4 calls from this number in the last 2 hours, stating that my Binance account is being compromised, they end up hanging up once I tell them that I am not active on Binance. SCAM!
The number called me and after several hellos from the caller and then asking several times if I could hear him, he said he was from iSelect. I advised I hadn't requested the call and that I would be ending it which I did. He then called back, I didn't answer and he left no message.
Don't know this number so left unanswered. Caller did not leave a message suspect scam nuisance.
I received a nuisance call from this number, which also called me from (02) 5937 5048 just five minutes earlier.
I suspect this is a scam; the caller claimed that their system detected a problem with my phone number, which sounds dubious to me.
