Seems to be a scam relating to my Auspost Everyday Mastercard details possibly being compromised.
It’s Australia Oost prepaid card security office. Its genuine. Other reports here are from complete loons who are paranoid.
These fraud scum claim to be from the fraud prevention department at Australia Post. They knew my name. Obviously some scammers have used my account in small purchases in Australia, but then unsuccessfully attempted to be used in much bigger purchases in the US & Canada. This scam number of (02) 5926 2007 came up on my screen as being from a small one horse town of ADELONG in NSW, but is actually a fixed line in wagga wagga NSW. I called Aus post & confirmed non-Authorised & hope the cyber crime squad can hunt these scum down in wagga & connections in The US & Canada, as I will be contacting those overseas businesses for information & details on those people who tried using my credentials & were denied. Then to be investigated by cyber crime & local authoritiesin Aus & the US. The scam scum picked the wrong guy to mess with here, & it is a hobby of mine to hunt down & preferably END all scammers in any way possible. Join the revolution!
Seems to be a contractor working for Australia Post to verify transactions on Australia Post Prepaid Card. I also received a text asking to verify a transaction attempted a minute or so before. However I did not recognise the number and did not answer as a matter of course. The transaction had already failed at the retailer side, and I used another card from a different bank successfully, so I see little that the caller could do to make that situation better.
Total SCAM. Rang me asking for all my personal details. Name, address, email, phone, mother's maiden, date of birth, post code, creit card number. When I declined they said I couldn't access my account without providing the information. I asked for them to confirm their credentials which they couldn't. Don't get scamed by these people.

It is a robo voice claiming to be Australia Post that could be an elaborate scam.
Unfortunately, especially if it is legitimate, it starts by seeking private identifying information.
I missed a call from 0259262007 during business hours. The Message2Text said they were from the Fraud Prevention Department at Australia Post and asked for me by my full name. I do have a prepaid card from Auspost and I had recently received (but not yet read) a text to verify if a recent transaction on my card was authorised. Soon after the call I had received (but not yet read) an email to my registered address from Auspost asking to confirm if I recognise these transactions. I called the (02) number back and was asked to confirm by date of birth. I hung up as I didn't wish to divulge that information just in case the call was malicious. But after the fact I think the call was legitimate.
Voice recorded pretending to be Australia Post. It's all automated and hang up once they get your date of birth.
