I received a call from a number that identified as being from Ballina, but I chose not to answer it.

Unknown caller. Hung up. No message.

This numbers called five times in three weeks Jan/Feb 2024. Supposed to be from Ballina NSW. I’ve never answered it.

I found this caller very helpful. I previously participated in their bird quiz, so their call seemed appropriate and relevant.

The caller ID showed "Ballina," which alarmed me because my mother is in a nursing home located there. For a brief moment, I feared she might have passed away. This was quite distressing to me.

Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute.

Recently I signed up as a research program participant.

I did NOT sign up to have my data shared with the outsourced Baker fund raising team - I received a phone call from them this afternoon. The caller named Baker and that I filled in a survey.

Given the recent high profile data hacking events affecting Optus, Medibank Private, AHM and others, I was shocked to see that University of Tasmania / Baker have willingly allowed participants data to be shared with the outsourced Baker fund raising team.

This call was from the Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute. Recently, I joined a research program as a participant, but I did NOT consent to having my data shared with their fundraising team. I received a call from them this afternoon, inquiring about a survey I supposedly filled out. Given the recent data breaches from companies like Optus and Medibank Private, I was very concerned and disappointed to see that my data might have been shared without my consent.

I received a call from Ballina; as I don’t know anyone there, I chose not to answer. This is likely another scam, and I am receiving these calls daily!

This morning, the caller reached out to my 15-year-old daughter, asking for her by both her first and last name before abruptly hanging up.

A call came through from Ballina, NSW, but since it was from an unknown number, I did not answer it.

I returned the call, and it led to an automated message from a company called Cornucopia. I found it suspicious, so I have now blocked the number!

This number has been calling me 1-2 times a day for the past week without leaving any voicemails. When I called back outside of business hours, it went straight to a message bank stating that the number belongs to Cornucopia, which conducts telefundraising for Bush Heritage.

I got a missed call from this number, and when I called back, they said they represented Bush Heritage. I suspect this may be a telemarketing call.

I've been receiving multiple calls daily from this number, and they never leave a message. I called back and heard a recording stating it was Cornucopia fundraising for bush heritage. Since blocking the number, the calls have stopped.

This caller appears to be just another cold caller trying to sell wine products, which can be quite annoying.

This number has called me daily for two weeks without any answer from my side. When I finally answered, the caller asked to speak to my girlfriend, which seemed suspicious.

I have received three calls from this number in one week. They left one voicemail, but it only contained a sighing sound on the other end of the line.

The caller said they would call me back, which I found very annoying.

Someone rang from this number but didn’t speak when I answered, then they hung up.

When I called back this number, I received a message stating, "Calling you from Cornucopia on behalf of Bush Heritage. Telefundraising." This was unsolicited telemarketing, so I blocked the number to prevent future calls.

Caller claimed to be from Bush Heritage Australia and was asking for donations.

It came up on my phone as scam, I did not answer.
