Scam call claiming to be Telstra regarding my IP address issues. When I challenged they hung up. Called back (without ID) Message was number was disconnected.
The caller claimed they were contacting me about issues with my internet service, which I don't have. It became clear they were calling from an overseas call center. When I questioned them, they falsely identified themselves as a Senior Security Officer with Telstra. I recognized this as a scam, ended the call, and blocked the number. Additionally, I will report this as phishing.
The number that called me is not from New South Wales, and it supposedly belongs to the legitimate business Hidden Gem, which is actually located in Victoria.
