I got a call from the same number. I was also left a personalized message on my answering machine. Prior to this I had received half a dozen calls from a female foreign sounding caller trying to confirm my name and address. The automated message resembled the message about tax fraud other people have been getting. Mine said "You have received this call even though you are on the do not call register. This is a message from A Sure legal services in Sydney on behalf of the taxation office. This is to notify you that your account has been marked delinquent due to tax evasion and tax avoidance. We have sent you two letters to your registered address and they have been returned unsigned and undelivered and this has resulted in intervention against your file. A warrant has now been issued for your arrest at your registered address. Because your case has now been sent for execution you need to call our hotline number 0253177821 to avoid the legal course of action.".
The recorded message mentioned something about a "National Do Not Call List" and said that "our account has been suspended because of tax avoidance and we could be issued with a warrant for our arrest. Their hot line number was 0253177021.
