Today, I received a call from someone who struggled to speak English. They claimed that there were transactions on my Amazon account, which raised my suspicions, and I hung up as it seemed like a scam.
Told me they were from visa and had I spent a certain amount on Amazon account I don’t have Amazon.
I received a voice message from a woman with an American accent who claimed to be calling from a security department. She asked me to confirm a $14.99 charge for an Amazon subscription and a $700 transaction for a Western Union overseas transfer. I checked my bank statements and credit card transactions, and there were no such charges or transactions present.
