I was called by an automatic message claiming to be from the immigration bureau. This is a scam call, and I advise not to return the call.

I got a call from this number, which went to voicemail. The voicemail was from Bungendore, NSW, and the woman speaking in it said "Chinese" right away. This seemed aimed at grabbing the attention of any Chinese speakers. I found it suspicious and deleted the call without listening further. I've been receiving numerous similar spam calls from various numbers lately, mostly from women with the same accent.

Received a call on this number.

'this is the Australian government calling in reference to fraudulent use of your passport'

It then went to reading out a message in chinese. Wasn't expecting the call, I expect this is spam/phishing.

The call came from Bungendore, NSW, a location I have never visited. That raises my suspicions; they might be targeting individuals, especially Chinese students.

P

Hung up before I answered. Then called straight away again. I rejected the call. They left a message in Chinese? Which is of no use to me as I don’t speak it.
