Keep receiving calls from this number. Clearly a scam because they take a while to talk once answered. Wanting to upgrade my hot water system for free. Keep blocking number and they keep calling on different numbers from different areas. Comes up Australian Capital Territory or sydney.
They say they’re calling on behalf of the state government which is offering free hot water system upgrades. Very suspicious!
I returned the call and it was answered by Emma who said the state government is providing every homeowner with a free hot water system upgrade. (If this were true, wouldn’t it be reported in the media? It sounds like a very expensive little operation for the state government, doesn’t it? It reeks of fraud.)
I flagged this phone number as spam and have now blocked it due to suspicious activity.
A call came from a number I did not recognize. I chose not to answer, and since they did not leave a message, I decided to block the number to prevent future contact.
