What Our Users Reviewed
I received a call from a number that appeared to be from Canberra, but they did not leave a message. When I called back, a woman mentioned something about a rebate. When I mentioned involving the police, she immediately hung up.
An artificial voice started talking about gift cards and an order. Hung up after a few seconds. Sounded VERY DODGY.
Definitely a scam, pretending to be an eBay office asking if I'd purchased an eBay gift card last week. When I said no, the said it was obviously fraud and wanted to cancel the transaction through their 'cancellation dep't" by purchasing an on-line external support system giving them access to my phone data. When I asked which account they had linked to they said it was in Head Office, so I asked for that number and she hung up. I rang back and asked to be put thru to the same girl and hung up again. Very unprofessional but a bit of fun playing.
Scam, when I answered it was a automotive message, I just hung up and blocked the number.
