SPAM! I didn't answer the call - it went to message bank and a robot left a message saying it was PayPal and $299 would be deducted from my PayPal account but if I press 1, I could to cancel the order or call back on the number to discuss - DON"T call them - its a yet ANOTHER SCAM.

This is a scam caller threatening to debit your PayPal account for a sum of money which you did not commit to. It is important not to call the number back as it will likely be an inflated call cost and will result in the scammer capturing other personal details.

I received a call from a robotic voice saying there was a transaction pending on my PayPal account. This raised concerns about its legitimacy.

I received a voice message stating that I had made a PayPal payment of $299, which would be withdrawn immediately. This feels like a scam to me. It’s frustrating that the Do Not Call register doesn’t seem to be effective, and it makes me wonder if the Australian government sells our phone numbers to the highest bidder.
