    I had a couple of calls from this number whilst I was on my phone... So I called back and they said that I had $199.99 on my PayPal account... I said I hadn't bought anything and hung up. It did say Albury under the number.

    A lady scammer called me from this number & told me she was from eBay. She said someone bought a $300 gift card using my details. They told my eBay account had been used illegally. They then asked me to go to my App Store and search “Team Viewer”. Be careful as this app/software to give them remote access to your phone or device. They then steal off you. As soon as I said to them they were the ones trying to steal off me by asking me to open “Team Viewer” they just hung up. Mongrels need lockin up!!!

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
