Though the MOFO's typically just use another number.

0485 842 132 - Watch out Muslims in Australia, a scumbag is trying to steal your money and the communities monies for persons in need of emergency assistance. A scammer messaged me on whatsapp using this Australian phone number 0485 842 132 and the name Binjamin Omar. With no response he then calls on Whatsapp saying he was an Indonesian on a Bridging visa in Australia. He sought funds to feed his family, advising he got my phone number a while back from an individual at an Adelaide Mosque while he was visiting SA. Upon prompt he provided a family photo, his bank balances and a SA Drivers Licence. After I spoke to individuals regarding accessing our communities hardship fund application documents, I requested further documents like his Immigration documents, passport, bank acct details with his last 2 weeks of transactions. I then started to notice some inconsistencies in the SA Drivers Licence and ran a SA license renewal check that returned the License # and name did not match their records. Scumbag gave an excuse saying it was cancelled. He provided further ID that rang further alarm bells as they all had the same ID photo. His NSW photo card had theat exact same ID photo and upon looking at NSW photo ID requirements, individuals are required to enter NSW service centre and take a photo in person. I then ran a reverseau. Com phone number search and it came up that this AU phone # was registered by satellite phone service for the purpose of scamming Australians. BE AWARE.

(02) 7234 0140 - Francom debt collectors, they are the new owners of Panthera Debt Collection Agency. Don't engage with these scammers. They won't tell you who they are or what they are calling you for but they want you to confirm your name, address, phone number, email and date of birth. I told them since they are calling me in regards to a matter then they should know my details, so they can tell me what they are and I'll confirm if they are correct or not. They said they can't do that for privacy reasons. And they told me that they can't discuss who they are or what the matter they are calling about is until after I confirm my details. I told them that since I have no matters to discuss with strangers that I don't need to confirm my details and hung up. Be careful because they are trying to get you to give them your full name and address, date of birth, email and phone number, DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION as they aren't willing to give any. They are dodgy scammers.
