What Our Users Reviewed
This was from Precision Connect Charity - an organization that represents various charities.
I called the two charities I support. Amnesty and another which I didn't get through to yet.
On calling Amnesty I was told my number wasn't shared with other organizations.
I called Precision Connect directly on their official number I did find my number was in their system for this purpose and was indeed tied to Amnesty but not for raising funds, but to inform me through their secure lines that my credit card info was out of date and expiring soon. They suggested I call Amnesty directly and kindly removed my number from their service so I wouldn't recive more calls.
Due to Precision connect not leaving a message over 10 calls in a week across different numbers I started reporting and blocking them which is a fail to reach people 'for good'.
They are failing at transparency something they highlight on their website as a core value and need to re-assess what 'transparency' means means outwardly to the donators of the charities they are representing not just to the charities themselves.
All in all no harm done but they need to be better at communication, transparency and representation of their mission when working with the charities.
If you receive a call from this number, give their main line a call and check with them your number is in their system then ask what it was about, if they are doing a charity run, they may inform you that they will call you again that day. Alternatievly, you can take ownership over this and may wish to reach out directly to the charity they are representing whilst removing your number from Precision Connect's task list.
The call was from Smart Fund, reaching out on behalf of the Taronga Conservation Society.
This number continues to call me despite my repeated attempts to block it. When I called back today, the voicemail mentioned that it is Smart Fund Australia, which handles calls for Child Fund Australia.
I have made it clear that I do not provide information over the phone, and I want them to stop calling me.
Claiming to be "Smart Health Australia" working on behalf of 'Dementia Australia' - concerning as they knew my name. The call was from Penrith. I hung up on them.
When called back recorded message working on behalf of “ dementia australia”
Constant harassment from this number and voice mail unintelligible.
I have received a few missed calls but no voicemails. I ran a Google search and couldn't find anything useful. I used a blocked number to call the number back and it is "Smart Health Australia" working on behalf of 'Dementia Australia'. I donated to them a little while ago, so I assume they are reaching back in.
