Definitely Scammers - called me with the old "This is Microsoft Support we can see suspicious activity on your computer" story and then asking me to press this button and that in the hope to trick me into thinking they actually have my serial number hence its a genuine call. It's not. The number they quote is a generic CLSID number which is not unique, it just looks like a serial number - don't fall for it. The lady was also very pushy and rude when I did not cooperate.
This caller claimed to be from Microsoft and informed me that my computer had a virus alert. However, since I am at a business, this raised my suspicions about the legitimacy of the call. Additionally, they continued to call several times even after I requested them to stop.
