I had a call today from this number, the concern is that they knew my name and my number is unlisted and they were asking to talk about mortgages. Sounded like an Indian accent on the phone and when I quizzed where he would have obtained my details from he just kept saying - the marketting department and identified the company as "Mortgage Compare"based in Parramatta.
Searching directories fails to come up with a company by that name and the prefix 4231 is in the Wollongong area - therefore, from all accounts this is a scam call.
