Scammer pretending to be from RTA (couldn't even pronounce it properly). Note to Scamwatch - if there's a landline then there's an address so go around and arrest them!!!!!!
Rang a place I hadn't lived in for 15years - current residents let me know. Guy rings up asking for me (apparently) - doesn't say who he is or what it's about except something about my car and claims. Very sus.
Following usual long delay after I answered, a man with a strong Indian accent stated he was from the claims department at RTA. Took me three goes to understand what he was saying and then what 'RTA' stood for. He then went on to say that following my vehicle accident, I was entitled to compensation. Immediately suspect to this (I haven't had an accident in 25 years), I cut loose on him until he hung up!

Tried to say that we had a car accident and had $7000 to claim first he said accident happened 2015 then 2016 when I asked who he wanted to talk to he did not know names only surname then hung up said he was from RTA claims department no has had an accident.
Same here, there was a long delay after I answered the call, but the connection was very bad, I couldn't hear the person properly, and it cut off within seconds after that.
Long delay for caller to speak after I answered the call. Caller knew my surname and stated that they were calling from some Health organization. Then proceeded to say they were calling regarding our "recent accident" that we "already are aware of"????? I replied "this sounds like rubbish" and hung up. My apologies if this was legit, but it seemed totally dodgy.
