Call from Maitland, claimed to be from Amazon and whether I wanted to verify a transaction for $799. I told her that wasn’t me and she asked if I wanted to cancel it. I told her I’d check my account myself and hung up. Why would Amazon call up just to ask if you wanted to cancel a transaction?!

Had a call from a very similar number (02 4072 9147) two hours later than this on, also in Maitland. Said it was commonwealth bank checking a suspicious payment. I don't bank with them.
