I have previously reported 02 4072 numbers on ReverseAu, and this is yet another being reported by Users as being used by scam agents. The 9141 suffix has been added to a growing list of numbers including 9147,9145 and 9142. I advise a high degree of caution when interacting with these numbers.
Call from Maitland, claimed to be from Amazon and whether I wanted to verify a transaction for $799. I told her that wasn’t me and she asked if I wanted to cancel it. I told her I’d check my account myself and hung up. Why would Amazon call up just to ask if you wanted to cancel a transaction?!
