Claimed to be from National Broadband Network, called me sir. I hung up. If he was from National Broadband Network he would have our name.
I received a phone call from someone claiming to be from Telstra, suggesting that I was eligible for a 50% discount on my bills for next month. The problem is, I’m not even a Telstra customer; I am with Optus. This is clearly a scam.
The caller claimed to be representing NBN and addressed me as "sir." I found this suspicious because if they were truly from NBN, they should have known my name. I decided to hang up the call.
I am getting a daily spam call from different numbers and I block them. This just happens to be the latest. I don't answer them, just use phone's capacity to end the call unanswered. I did ring one number from another phone and it was a spoofed number call.
I called this number back and reached an automated message claiming, "We may have called you about a marketing campaign." I suggest blocking this number and ignoring future calls.
