Highly suspect to be a scam or at best unethical sales people using dodgy techniques.
When I answered this call, no one spoke, and they hung up after a moment of silence. I notice this number called me yesterday as well, but it isn't in my contacts. It appears to be originating from Newcastle, NSW.
Robo caller scam.
I received an automated message stating that an auto payment of $299 would be deducted from my account. This raised concerns about whether this is a legitimate call or a potential scam.
SCAM - claiming to be eBay and if you would like a refund press blah blah.
The first time they called, they left a message which I regrettably forgot to block. A few hours later, they called again with a similar message about an eBay purchase order, which I believe is a scam.
I received a robotic message stating that $99 would be directly debited from my account for a refund. They prompted me to press 1 for more information. This is a SCAM, and I've blocked the number.
The caller claimed that someone had created an eBay account in my name and had ordered vouchers worth $299. When I requested the bank details for the "order," the caller abruptly hung up on me. This feels very suspicious.
