    Spam company trying to send you e-mails for something. They are Indian and talk really fast, cannot understand anything they say. When you tell them you didn't sign up to anything, they cut you off and repeat themselves. Disaster.

    A scam from a guy with Indian accent saying they are from Acronis, but can not provide valid information (even a traceable email) on their existence.

    These scammers seem to get so angry when you call them out. I could hear call centre noise in the background.

    Received calls in the past. Today called twice so I returned the call, despite being flagged as suspected spammer. Went into voicemail which did not identify the business, just said they are closed.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
