    Same as other report. Lady caller that sounded robotic with an Australian accent. Said service was due on my 11 year old car (it's not due for months).

    Said the name of where she was calling from too quickly to understand.

    Gave up when I said I would book it when I am ready.

    Clearly a scam of some sort. Must be some data breach from dealer network or something...

    Received a call today from this number. A female with an Australian accent. Saying she was given me a courtesy call about the make of my car. At no point did she ask if I was available for a conversation. She then began to rattle of some bogus policy. Once she finished I told her I had no time whereby she curtly and abruptly hung up. Not your regular courtesy call type. She was aggressive, rude and abrupt. On checking with my car dealer I was told this number is not in their company directory. When I rang the number back I got some gibberish message. Be careful as its highly likely a new scam.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
