A friend of mine got called twice by this number; at 8::23 am and at 10:43 am;
The second time I was there;
I started asking her (yes, the same Indian lady who has been annoying everybody today!!!) her telephone number and employee ID, she said that she could provide those to me but that that was a one time opportunity to rectify the issue with the IP address of my friend's computer... I insisted in her exposing herself (asking details she obviously couldn't provide because she isn't' form Telstra obviously...) and in no more that five seconds she hang up!
Call supposedly from Telstra - She said her name was Sarah Benjamin (I think that is what she said) I asked them why they are ringing me when I am with Optus - got an explanation that Optus was one of Telstra’s sub companies - called BS on them and this Indian woman started arguing with me. I told her the phone call was being recorded and to please stay on the line so the Fed Police can pinpoint their actual location - she got really abusive with me - at this point I called BS again and hung up.
This number called my mobile 3x in one day - I answered each but they cut off after period of silence. I tested calling it back but tone sounded like it wasn't connecting/busy - didn't ring. Probably spoofed. Annoying nuisance.
Called and told me that my private IP address had become public or some rubbish like that. When I told them that the company I work for was 25% per cent owned by Telstra and I didn't think they were calling from Telstra, they hung up.
Telstra scam - private domain is now public wanting private details.
