Received a call from a female sounding person saying they were from eBay and reporting that there had been multiple log-in attempts to my account. Also that a purchase originating from Mountain View, California had been made from my account for $500 in gift cards. They wanted to know if I wanted to cancel the order or proceed, and my account would be debited for $500.
When I asked what account would be debited, they hung up! Clearly a scam.
I don’t usually answer unknown numbers, but I did this time? Started to say something about a Telstra internet connection problem. I stated I’m not with Telsta so this is a scam call and hung up,
