The very first time they called it was in evening and as I was expecting a call from someone, hurriedly answered it. After I said hello? No one responded so I repeated myself a couple more times but there was just silence on the other end and then they hung up. I called the number back straight away (as it looked like a local number) and I got connected with a recorded message for Audika in a neighbouring suburb. So I hung up straight away and checked the number for Audika for that particular suburb and it was totally different!
So it would seem this scammy f***er is stealing and using legitimate businesses recorded message info etc to scam ppl.
Definitely Block and report to relevant authorities if you can, folks.
Claimed to be National Broadband Network upgrade arranging appointment to install fibre to the dwelling. Legitimized with anglo Saxon name for installer, gave employee number, an1800 number to call to check if concerned. Oz Post to deliver cable and new modem next day. Wanted Credit card payment for the Oz Post delivery. Refused. Phone went dead.
