    Scam, purportedly from National Broadband Network and problem with my router. I asked where they were calling from she said National Broadband Network. I asked where they were located and for their street address - she didn’t know and would have to check. I hung up and blocked.

    The phone rang 2 times then the caller hung up. I tried calling back but it said “caller busy”. Definitely a scammer.

    Caller claimed to be from Telstra National Broadband Network and said my internet was not working and asked me to confirm whether it was working or not. The caller hung up when I asked him to confirm that he was from Telstra by telling me what my name is.

    Robotic voice claiming to be eBay saying they would be charging me $299.99 unless I press 2 and speak with their rep. Obvious scam.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
