    Scam Call. When I called back the number had been disconnected and had the engaged dial tone. No option to leave a message.

    Claims to be from the Chinese embassy before breaking out into full mandarin. Number isn’t associated with the Chinese embassy. Scam.

    ☝️P.S. From the background noise and her accent it sounded like she was in a well organised Indian call centre by the way.

    I deposited a cheque at my bank yesterday from NAB, they somehow knew it was $800. They told me it was fraudulent or something and asked me what I'd like to do about it. I answered not in my normal voice and pretended like I was stupid and they said shut up and listen you bitch. She actually called me bitch twice and told me to shut up and listen multiple times and eventually she gave up and slammed the phone down on me... Haha.. Well.. Sorry, I'm sure you're very sweet and a lovely human being in your own family and with friends. But darling, you need to consider that we are all in the same boat. This is humanity. Everyone is human. We are same as you. Even if you can't see me and just talking to random people on the phone. We all have family too and we all need to provide for them. There are ways to provide for your family, wrong ways, and right ways. Rippping people off, fraud.. That's the wrong way.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
