    It came up as spam on my phone. What concerns me is that they seem to have the numbers of Heritage Bank customers, if it is Spam. Will contact Heritage when they're open.

    I work for the bank and we are aware these are genuine calls that will not ask for any details, just making members aware of the proposed merger. There ARE scammers calling from private numbers that are trying to get account details, they are to be avoided and reported. NEVER give bank details to anyone, especially if they claim to be from a bank [ they would already have your details:) ]

    I am a member of Heritage Bank and yes there is a merger going on with another bank but if anyone calls about this issue don't talk to them. This is not how Heritage Bank is conducting this merger.

    Didn't answer call as it came up as spam, & no message left. After reading previous comments here, phoned Heritage Bank as I am a customer & was concerned about call. Was advised the call is legitimate & was about voting re the upcoming merger.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
