Indian woman said from National Broadband Network - When I said National Broadband Network doesn't call public, she became aggressive swearing and calling me F--- idiot. I hung up and she immediately called back from spoofed number 048000309 - I kept silent while she ranted continual fowl language.
Asked me if I was Tom Murphy. I said no. They read my mobile number out to me. I said who are you. He said he was from Telstra. I stayed silent. He repronounced Telestar - incorrectly. He said there was a problem with our National Broadband Network. Which is in fact the case. He said our internet was not secure. I hung up.
Said the were from Amazon Prime and we’re going to charge me $39.99 per month for......... I stopped them there, wished them good luck with that and hung up.
SCAMMER CALL. Said was eBay and press 1 to cancel a transaction just made. Fishing for people to believe that they have had an unauthorised transaction on their eBay. I usually stay on the line and mess around with these type of scammers to waste their time but this mob were quick. As soon as they realised I wasn't blankly accepting what they were saying they hung up. SCAMMER CALL.
Fake bank call asking about an unverified transaction. I stated I would look into it and call back the bank if a problem and they immediately hung up.
