    Have been calling for the past 4 days sometimes 2 or 3 times, finally answered this morning. There was a delay, knew my name and was ringing in relation the the road/car accident that I was involved in. To my knowledge I have not been involved in any instances and hung up.

    Do NOT answer any random numbers like this one that you don't know... THEY HAVE CALLED ME 3 times and again this morning... These people are scam artists... The minute you answer your phone they ask if you can hear them... The minute you reply YES they hang up on you and automatically have access to your internet banking that is connected to your phone. I don't know how but they do. Another person on my facebook has been targeted and her bank account has been hacked because she answered the call and said YES. THIS IS NOT A JOKE!!!!!! IF YOU RECEIVE ANY BLOCK THE NUMBERS IMMEDIATELY.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
