Asian lady claiming to be from Telstra saying that my internet firewall was not secure. I said if you actually manage my account then send me this in writing, bye.
The lady didn't even know my name and as others reported, she pretended to be from Telstra tech support and said my internet connection was not secure and some malicious virus was downloaded and she's gonna help sort it out for me. When I said I don't need her help she threatened me that then my internet connection will be disconnected, I told her to go ahead and she hung up.
Called to tell me that she is from Telstra technical support and that my internet is being disconnected due to hackers trying to get access to our details. I just hung up.
Claims my internet has been hacked as a Telstra Customer. Reads off a script as repeated the same lines several times. Back ground noise very loud. Told them this is a scam and they declined of course. Claim even if I am not a Telstra customer I am effected due.
Telstra calling to fix my PC from some scammers that have hacked my computer. They wanted me to give them control of my PC so they can fix it. I don't normaly let them get that far but it's 35deg out so I'm stuck inside in the cool.
She said, I am calling from Telstra re your internet. And asked me are you the user of this number. I asked her " Do you know the name of user since you are calling me?", She said I don't have your name, I only have your number. Spam.
Overseas call centre long delay before talking. Said my internet was reporting errors. I told them I believed it was a scam. The lady offered to give me her Telstra Id. I told her I didn’t believe her. She said my internet was going to be disconnected. I told her to go ahead and she hung up.
Missed call twice on two days, no message left therefore I didn't phone back because it is probably a scam. Reading these comments I think I was correct.
