    It is the Indians with another money making scam. They say they are the ATO and owe them money and a warrant has been issued for my arrest... So I returned the favour.... Put them on speed dial on my mobile and bombarded them with over 200 phone calls. I am on a prepaid plan and for a $1 a day have unlimited phone calls. I put it to good use today. Even had them ringing me back threatening to report me if I did not stop ringing... Over 200 phone calls later they blocked me.... I never spoke, was so funny listening to them answer everytime the "Security Department of the ATO"....Not had so much fun with them in ages.. Made my day..... So yep feel free to bombard them.. I don't expect anymore calls from them again...

    It's a scam, they left s voice mail saying it's a tax lawsuit and they will issue an arrest warrant. It was an automated voice, and when I tried to ring it rang through once then automatically hung up.

    Called just a moment ago leaving a voice message to say that an arrest warrant may be issued in my name. Knew it was a scam, called back and joked around a bit. Whoever was on the other end didn't enjoy it and mockingly laughed before some aggressive foreign language and a hang up.

    Scam. Leaves a voicemail scaring you that you will be arrested if you don't call back.

    Got curious, called back. They asked for my personal details. I asked back who they were and they dropped the call. Blocked.

    This is a scam, an automated voice message that tells you there is a law suit filed under your name from the ATO, do not call back or respond to this number.

    Absolute scam! ATO scam, saying an arrest warrant will be issued. Been a lot in the press about it. Just ignore, do NOT return their call. Delete, block and forget.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
