    These people are a nuisance. They keep calling with different numbers despite being told not to. They should be investigated by the Telecommunications ombudsman and their numbers disconnected. How about it ombudsman? These people have been abusing the phone system for a long time.

    14th number I’ve blocked in a month. If it is actually Wine Group/Oak Road, Ticketek are one of the ones that sold your information. Ordered tix for concerts in 2020 and during the process, you get offers if you sign up for emails to various companies, inc Oak Road. Even though I said no, I started receiving emails the next day.

    These people call me every day with a slight change to their number. I block each number. From Eltham in Victoria. Nuisance call. Sick of them calling. Daily for at least two months now.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
