    The DO NOT CALL Register is where these people get your numbers from, are you seriously putting your number on these lists and NOT expecting random calls. They pay the company to get these lists to save them time. Anyone who is on one of these registers should expect spam calls regularly.

    03 7067 5125. When ever I receive a call like that, I let it ring and reverse the number. Like others before me, they are asking about power saving devices from the government. What a load of bollocks and cods wallop. Scammers and sadly, usually an Indian accent, thus giving the majority of the Indian population a bad name. Betcha their parents don't know that they are involved in criminal activity.

    More than likely a scam as they cut the call off as soon as I answered it so I have blocked them.

    Indian accent asking me if I’d received my power monitoring device. Wasn’t going to talk to a possible scam caller ringing at approximately 8 p.m. On a Friday night. I didn’t answer and they hung up.

    Scam. Every time I block a number, they use a new one. This number was attached to the latest call (around 100th in the past 6 months).

    Keep calling from similar numbers. Know my full name. They ask if I have received the Energy saving meter. Hung up when I told them that they already sent it out 2 weeks ago (haha)

    Scammers. This number called 4 times today. I answered and it was a telemarketer. I hung hung up and blocked the number. Now being harassed by (03) 7067 5195. Calls to (03) 7067 5125 and (03) 7067 5195 fail with an announcement that Optus advises the mobile number is disconnected... They are obviously redirecting calls to a fake mobile number currently ported to Optus. Do not engage with them.

    I do not answer any calls with numbers I do not recognise. If genuine they will leave a proper message. So many scam calls.

    Got a call from (03) 7067 5125 The caller knew my name, asked to confirm whether I have received the electricity meter. I asked the caller to remove my phone number and he told me “get lost”. Very interesting marketing skill he seemed to have.

    Called at 2:30 pm. Left a voicemail but didn't say anything, judging by the other comments it's likely this scam or telemarketing. Commenting to add to the pile.

    They called me on 19.04 @1405 and a voicemail was left, which I think was accidental. I heard this Indian woman talking to a colleague in an Indian language and chuckling. This number is now blocked.

    It’s a company trying to provide “free” electricity monitor for Victorians. However, they do not have a record of who they installed so expect them to call you many many times. I suggest block this number and report to the authorities.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
